KLEBERG COUNTY ATTORNEY KIRA TALIP SANCHEZ SWITCHES TO REPUBLICAN PARTY AS GOP CONTINUES TO BUILD MOMENTUM IN SOUTH TEXAS.
KINGSVILLE, Texas –Kleberg County Attorney Kira Talip Sanchez has announced she is switching to the Republican Party.
The announcement was made at a 2024 Election Season Kickoff event hosted by Hispanic Republicans of Texas PAC (HRT PAC) at the Kingsville American Legion.
“As County Attorney, I have been proud to work with law enforcement to ensure the safety of the citizens of Kleberg County,” said County Attorney Kira Talip Sanchez “There is an unprecedented crisis at our Southern Border. I believe that the GOP’s policies of law and order protecting safety, and backing the blue best align with my values and the values of the citizens of Kleberg County. I look forward to working with my colleagues to keep South Texas safe.”
Joined with Attorney Talip Sanchez were HRT President Cassy Garcia, and Chairman George Antuna.
“Voters and even candidates are switching to the Republican party because Democrats no longer serve their interests,” said Hispanic Republicans of Texas President Cassy Garcia. “The best way to continue bringing folks over to the Republican party is to keep pursuing policies that promote economic prosperity, keep our country safe and support freedom. I’d like to thank Attorney Talip Sanchez for joining us tonight and for her work to for Kleberg County, and I am excited to continue our outreach across Texas to bring more voters to the Republican Party.”
Kira Talip Sanchez was voted Kleberg County Attorney in 2014 and oversees the Kleberg County’s Specialized Crimes and Narcotics Task Force that plays a vital role in intercepting deadly drugs coming through the Southern Border before distribution. Her party switch along with State Rep. J.M. Lozano and State Rep. Ryan Guillen highlights a trend in South Texas towards the GOP, with voters leaning further to the Republican Party.
